
Zis Milentis started his two-decade business career by accepting an invitation to join the staff of International Business College as a student recruiter immediately following graduation from that institution. He went on to serve in a variety of management roles at northAmerican Van Lines for 5 years. Subsequently, he moved on to GTE (General Telephone and Electronics) in the Operations Division of providing telephone service. He started a 30-year career in the nonprofit sector by moving on to Indiana Tech to complete an eight-year commitment in fundraising and left as Vice President of Development.
After a successful career in university resource development, he left the Indiana Tech to form Development Advisors in 1998 as a nonprofit organization and leadership development firm serving northeast Indiana. Eventually, Dr. Milentis developed his expertise in many of the critical facets of nonprofit management.
One particular assignment of note was to assist in the establishment of Bridge of Grace Compassionate Ministries from its beginning. During his eight-year tenure as Executive Director, its revenues went from $5,000 in 2011 to $419,000 in operational funding closing out the year of 2017 in this faith-based entity.
With board experience, he has served as a director of 15 nonprofit boards and has counseled many more in a variety of operational challenges as client entities.
He earned a Certification in Funding Raising and maintained that designation from 2000 through 2012 by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Educationally, Dr. Milentis possesses 5 college and university degrees to include an AS in Accounting and Finance, BA in Business Administration, MA in Nonprofit Management, an MBA, and culminates with a doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Development.
